Championship side Middlesbrough are reportedly interested in signing one Liverpool midfielder.

As it happened in the summer, the Reds have been quiet in the transfer window, and there remains no sign of any incoming just hours before the transfer window closes.

However, a few players are expected to leave before the transfer deadline, with a few youngsters reportedly in line for loan moves.

Jayden Danns is wanted by Sunderland, while Kaide Gordon is set to join Portsmouth.

Elsewhere, Stefan Bajcetic has already joined La Liga side Las Palmas on loan, confirming our exclusive report.

Another Liverpool player could be on his way out of the club, according to Paul Joyce.

Middlesbrough interested in Liverpool midfielder£

Paul Joyce has provided a huge update on the future of one Liverpool midfielder, Tyler Morton.

The defensive midfielder, who was subject to concrete interest from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, is one of the few players expected to be on the move this winter.

West Ham emerged as a potential destination for the 22-year-old, with the Hammers reportedly interested in a loan deal.

However, nothing has come out of their interest and with the transfer window hours to being shut, a new side have registered concrete interest.

According to Joyce, Championship side Middlesbrough has sent in an offer for Morton.

“Middlesbrough have made an offer for Tyler Morton, the Liverpool midfielder,” Paul Joyce wrote.

“The fee could be significantly above £10 million depending on bonuses and add-ons.

Morton – who was wanted by Bayer Leverkusen last summer – is keen for more regular football.
The two clubs have a good relationship, given the success of Ben Doak’s loan move from Anfield.

One to watch in the coming hours.”

Morton who is a product of Liverpool’s academy, has indicated his readiness to seek opportunities elsewhere.

“This month is a big month for me,” he said a few weeks back.

“It’s decision time, and I feel ready to kick on and be a proper professional if that’s here or someone else.

“I need to be a bit selfish and go with however I feel.”

The 22-year-old has had a bit part role in the Liverpool team this season, playing just nine times this season.

Despite Morton’s lack of game time at Liverpool, his talent remains obvious, and he should not be short of suitors.

The Englishman enjoyed a successful loan spell at Hull City last season?

He played 41 times at Hull, scoring three times while contributing five assists.

If Liverpool can get the quoted £10m from his sale, it will serve as a smart piece of business for the club.
